Cuban Intellectuals Cheer up
Fidel
Cuban intellectuals continue to
send messages of solidarity and
support to the leader of the
Revolution Fidel Castro.
The outstanding singer and
song-writer Pablo Milanes
expressed his wish for a rapid
recovery before leaving for work
commitments abroad.
"I promise I will represent you
and the Cuban people as this
moment calls for, with unity and
courage in case of any threat or
provocation," he stated
addressing to the
Commander-in-Chief.
From Japan, where Los Van Van
orchestra is performing, its
director Juan Formell, also sent
his best wishes to the "brother
Fidel" on behalf of his
musicians.
"The moment is delicate and we
have to be prepared because the
enemy may build its hopes up,
but we trust in our Armed Forces
and in our people," he remarked.
Richard Egues, flautist and
composer of the famous Aragon
orchestra, highlighted that he
would offer his life for Fidel
if necessary while the
outstanding song-writer César
Portillo de la Luz assured he
would reappear in public soon.
Finally, National Prizewinner in
Literature Reynaldo Gonzalez,
asserted that the Cuban people
are doing just what its leader
asked, working and reacting like
calm, serious and sensible
adults.
