Six Year Old Girl Murdered By Mistake
A six year old girl was killed, in front of her mother and little brother, by a bullet by what appears to be a mistake by killer or killers who had the wrong house. The murder occurred in El Edén, in Vista de Mar, Goicoechea.

The little girl was identified as Valeria María Gaitán Gómez.

It was 6am and Valeria was excited to dress her newborn baby brother. Valeria's mother, Yesenia, bathed the newborn and with help of Valeria was dressing the baby when she heard two male voices near the window. She told police that she heard them say "Man, careful that we aren't making a mistake. Don't worry, this is the place", and then opened fire on the small house.

Yesenia told police that she quickly ducked, with the newborn in arms, to avoid being hit by the bullets. It was only seconds, when she looked up she saw her baby girl bleeding. A bullet had hit the little girl in the head.

Police were immediately called and took up chase of the killers.

Police say that the intent was not against anyone in the home but that the killers had made a mistake of location. Investigators believe that one or both of the killers might of had a problem and decided on revenge but were mistaken of the location of the intended victim.
