Central America Tourism Officials in Panama
Panama is hosting Friday the 66th Ordinary Meeting of the Central American Tourism Council (CTC) that gathers regional ministers to outline strategies on the issue.

At the event, Panamanian Tourism Minister and popular singer-songwriter Ruben Blades will assume the CTC six-month rotating presidency.

The encounter aims at further promoting the region as a tourist destination for European and Asian markets, discussing the organization of the 3rd Central America Travel Market Fair in Honduras and the collaborations approved with Spanish and Switzerland cooperation agencies.

 Among attendees are tourism ministers Geoffrey Smith (Belize); Ricardo Castro (Costa Rica); Ruben Rochi (El Salvador); Daniel Mooney (Guatemala); Ricardo Martinez (Honduras) and María Nelly Rivas (Nicaragua) along with other state officials of the sector.
