Bilingual Job Fair a Success
More tha n 6.200 took part in
the first "feria bilingúe"
organized by the Coalición
Costarricense de Iniciativas de
Desarrollo (CINDE), that was
held over the last three days.
On the first day (Friday), more
than 5.000 attended the fair,
the total number expected over
the three days.
Fifteen multinational companies
took part in the fair. Western
Union says it received 5.000
employment applications, whie
Supra Telecom reports 3.000
applications. Hewlett Packard
human resources director,
Alfredo Ribeiro, says that they
got thousands of applications
looking to fill the 500 jobs the
company has available in Costa
Rica.
IBM, Intel, Procter & Gamble,
Dole were some of the companies
that in the market for bilingual
employees to fill jobs for their
expansion plans for Costa Rica.
