Hot, Muggy and Wet, The Forecast
For The Next Several Days
The Instituto Meteorológico
Nacional (IMN) - the weatherman
- says that the Central Valley
will be will little breeze in
the morning and lots of rain in
the afternoons for the next
several days .
The combination increases the
humidity level and makes it feel
hotter than normal. The high
humidity is coming from the
Pacific coast.
According to the IMN, the first
day of May registered the
highest temperature of the
season in the Central Valley -
28.8 Celsius (83.84 Farenheit).
The IMN says that the absence of
a breeze means the clouds will
be filled and will cause the
first "aguaceros" - downpours -
for the rainy season that is
just getting under way.
The recommendation to beat the
high humidity is to wear light
clothing, stay out of the sun,
protect the skin and drink lots
of water.
And, don't do go out without an
umbrella!
