Son Brutally Murders Mother in Their Hotel Room
Room 26 of the Orquídeas Inn was the scene of a bloody attack on 65 year old American, Darling Gora, by her 34 year old son, who killed his mother when she refused to give him money to buy "drugs.

According to police, the woman's semi naked body was found about midnight after complaints of a scuffle. The woman had received several blows to the head. The preliminary investigation shows that David Garret Gora, was under the influence of narcotics.

Police say that David had left the hotel room earlier in search for drugs in a area known as "el infernillio", which is located in Barrio San José in Alajuela, close to their hotel. When the drugs ran out, his mother refused to give him more money to buy more and that is when he attacked her.

Following the brutal attack, he tried to flee the scene by jumping out of a second storey balcony but was caught by police within a kilometre of the hotel, according to the local Fuerza Public commander.

Mother and son had arrived at the hotel on Friday, coming from Hawaii, in what is believed to be a holiday trip in Costa Rica.
