BetCRIS Goes Live With New Skill Gaming Site
Costa Rica based sports betting giant
BetCRIS has gone live with a skill gaming sub-site, through a deal with
UK software firm Gameaccount. In a surprising move for the pro
bettor-based BetCRIS site, users can play games such as mah-Jong,
solitaire and rummy for as little as a few cents per game.
It is part of a wider move by the firm to diversify into gaming, with
bingo, lottery and virtual horseracing also in the works.
Although it is one of the largest sportsbooks catering to the US,
BetCRIS is believed to have a relatively small recreation player base.
But in recent months it has put together one of the widest portfolio of
non-betting products in the US.
It has also added a wireless wagering service through a deal with mobile
technology firm Phantom Fiber.
Earlier this year it took over struggling Costa Rica-based sportsbooks
PlayASAP and BetAtlantic.
BetCRIS stepped in to guarantee all customer balances, and PlayASAP is
now under BetCRIS management although it continues to provide its own
separate lines and odds.
