New Wildlife Reserve
Costa Rica boasts of another wildlife reserve to protect green macaws, jaguars, manatees, and other species, some of them threatened with extinction.

It is located in the northern part of the country, next to the Nicaraguan border, between the mouths of the San Carlos and Sarapiqui rivers, and its area is some 30,000 hectares (over 74,000 acres).
