Light Festival Was A 10!
Last nights "Festival de la Luz" (Light Festival) earned a 10, according to thousands on hand to enjoy what is being called the most orderly festival ever. The weather was excellent, the floats and music kept the spectators entertained.

Confiscated Autos and Property Help Government Generate Revenue to Combat Drug Trafficking and Money Laundering
Audi A6, Porsche, Murano and Avalanche are some of the name plates of 579 luxury vehicles that state has warehoused, confiscated from those involved in drug trafficking and money laundering. The cars are being held in a warehouse controlled by the Instituto Costarricense sobre Drogas (ICD) and valued at ¢450 million colones (us$910.000 dollars).

New Immigration Law Will Go Into Effect Next August
The countdown begins tomorrow when the Ley de Migración y Extranjería is published in the official government newspaper La Gaceta. The law was ratified some five weeks ago and allowed for an eight month grace period. All laws and regulations must be published in La Gaceta before they can take effect.
