India Wants More Trade
The second world largest growing
economy, India, wants more trade
with Costa Rica. This was
confirmed by Primrose R. Sharma,
acting ambassador from the India
Trade Office in Panama.
According to her, India has
pharmaceuticals and automobiles
available, and there is the
possibility for Indian
investment in telecommunications
and railways her. In information
technology, India is a
competitor but, according to
Sharma, "Costa Rica" is doing
well.
Currently, trade between
India and Costa Rica is small.
In 2004 Costa Rica sold us$7.7
million to India, and bought
us$19.1 million.
