Puntarenas-Paquera Ferry Will Be Suspended for Two Days
Heading off to Paquera and points beyond tomorrow? Well, be advised that the ferry service between Puntarenas and Paquera will be suspended tomorrow Tuesday Dec 6 and Wednesday Dec 7 to allow for repair and maintenance of Paquera ramps.

Jorge Hernández Chavarría, of the department of Navegación y Seguridad del Ministerio de Obras Públicas y Transportes (MOPT), confirmed the suspension advising both the Aociación de Desarrollo Integral de Paquera ADIP and Naviera Tambor, who operate the ferry service.

Small boats will be able to cross the channel and the maintenance work will not be affected. Small boats are available for hire near the Puntarenas central market.

The ferry carries passengers and vehicles to and from Puntarenas to Paquera that leafs to Playa Tambor and Montezuma among other beach destinations.
