Eleven Cuban Publishing Houses At Book Fair in Bogota
Classics of Cuban Literature like Jose Marti and Alejo Carpentier, along with foreign writers like US James Petras, make up Cuba"s 11-strong publishing houses" assorted stock going to the book fair in Colombia.

A total of 300 titles, ranging from children"s story and coloring books up to the most universal genres such as the latest novels by Uruguayan writer resident in Cuba, Daniel Chavarria, represent Editora Abril, Ciencias Sociales and magazines like Tricontinental.

The stock includes encyclopaedias of poetry and anthologies of short stories for young people, educational, historical and political titles like Mella y Tina (Modotti) contra el fascismo, by Adys Cupull and Froilan Gonzalez, and Heraldos de la salud y la vida, by Pedro Creach.

Music is a must on every Cuban stand hence cassettes and CDs are also available, and silk screen prints from the most outstanding Cuban painters complete the comprehensive stock.
