Cuba able to defeat any enemy: Castro
Cuban leader Fidel Castro said
here Thursday that his country is able to face and defeat any enemy,
local press reported.
In a meeting to sum up the Bastion 2004 Strategic Military Drill, Castro
praised it as the "most fruitful one he has ever seen."
The leader said that "the attacker could be defeated," and "thus the
enemy has a certain level of respect for Cuba and also knows its own
limits."
"If we do all we have to do, there is a lower risk of an enemy attack,"
he said.
Bastion 2004 took place on December 13-19, covering two national defense
days, the 18th and the 19th.
