Honduras crisis, Oscar Arias, noted the need
to prevent the fight between Manuel Zelaya
and Roberto Micheletti to trigger an
international political conflict.

Yesterday, Arias was absolved by the Contraloría General de la República of any administravie responsibility related to the conventions with the Banco Centroamericano de Integración Económica (BCIE). Arias was investigated in relation to a us$2 million dollar donation to Casa Presidencial for the hiring and paying of consultants.
