The number of suspected swine flu cases
continues to climb since the first confirmed
case was announced on Monday. The total of
number of people suspected of being infected
by the swine flu in Costa Rica was 129 as of
last night (Thursday).

general election campaign officially ended

Venezuela Asks People To Keep Calm
Over Swine Flu
Caracas - The Venezuelan
health authorities made a call Thursday to
the people to keep calm as there has been no
registered confirmed cases of influenza H1N1
in the country so far.
ALBA Bank to Finance New Projects
Caracas - The
Bank of the Bolivarian Alternative for the
Americas (ALBA) will allocate $17.9 million
to regional health, culture, energy projects
and $13 million to agriculture. Esteban
Martel, executive director of the Cuban
branch of ALBA Bank, says the beneficiaries
are Nicaragua, Bolivia, Cuba, Venezuela,
