Reject High Rise Living
The majority of Costa
Ricans have yet to
accept living in high
rises, a housing style
that represents only 28%
of the total residences
built since 2005. Costa
Ricans continue to
prefer horizontal
living, according to
information supplied by
the Cámara Costarricense
de la Construcción.
ICE Contemplating
Offering Services
Outside Costa Rica
The Instituto
Costarricense de
Electricidad (ICE) says
it is seriously looking
at expanding its
services and compete in
Central America and as
such is currently
studying the different
possibilities.
Outstripping Tourism
Currently, tourism leads
in service exports in
Costa Rica, but in seven
years it will have lost
that first place to the
international service
firms which operate in
free zones.
