Costa Rica fell into darkness last night shortly after 8:00pm, cutting electrical power to every corner in the country for more than three hours in some places, when power was restored to all areas by 11:30pm.


Costa Rica last night shortly after 8:00pm. The black out continued for more than three hours as electrical service was restored in all parts of the country by 11:30pm. The black out is blamed on a problem in power station Arenal, which provides the majority of electrical power to the county from its thermal and hydroelectric generators in Guanacaste.
