ALBA Nations
to Meet in Caracas
Caracas - The Culture Ministers of ALBA
countries and from other nations will meet
on May 22-23 in Caracas, Venezuela, with a
large program of cooperation high on the
agenda of the encounter.
Venezuelan Culture Minister Hector Soto said
in interview with Prensa Latina the
encounter is aimed at analyzing the progress
obtained by the Grannacional ALBA-Culture
Project, which is sponsored by the Bank of
the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas.
Culture Ministers from Nicaragua, Cuba,
Dominica, Honduras, Bolivia and Venezuela,
ALBA countries, as well as those from
Ecuador, Paraguay and Saint Vicent and the
Grenadines will attend the encounter.
Grannacional ALBA-Culture Project counts
with five programs and 64 actions, addressed
to promote scholarships, contests,
catalogues, museums and publishing plans via
awards to song lyrics, musical productions,
heritage preservation, and criticism.
According to Venezuelan Minister, a tribute
to Casa de las Americas, cultural
institution created in Cuba in April 1959,
will take place during the realization of
this encounter. |
