Problems Expanded To Heredia, Cartago and
San Jose
In addition to the list of communities published
yesterday that may experience GSM cellular
network problems, the Instituto
Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), added
Heredia, Cartago and some parts of San Jose
that will experience network connection
problems.
Orlando Cascante, head of mobile services at
ICE, said the connection problems are for
maintenance and improvements work being
carried out on the network over the weekend.
Cascante added that the interruptions may be
minor.
ICE is working on some 200 radio towers to
improve signal strength.
ICE officials say that interruptions won't
last any more than 30 minutes at any given
time.
