Gasoline Prices Dropping After Semana Santa
Gasoline prices are coming, but not until
after Semana Santa. That is the news from
the Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios
Públicos (Aresep) approving the latest round
of gasoline prices.
The Aresep approved a drop of ¢29 colones
for a litre of diesel and ¢3 colones for a
litre of super.
The price of a litre of regular gasoline
will stay the same.
Due to the Semana Santa holiday, the
required five day period to publish the
notice in the official government
publication, La Gaceta, means it cannot be
published until the earliest date of April
14, with prices taking effect the next day,
on April 15.
The price drop is a reflection of price
levels between February 26 and March 12 on
international markets.
