Western Union To Double
Its Employees in Coming
Months
Western Union, now in
its 10th year in Costa
Rica, announced it will
double its work force
from the current 600 to
1.200 in the coming
months.
The company operates a
call centre and customer
service centre in eight
languages that covers
Latin America, the
Caribbean, the United
States, Canada, Europe,
the Middle East and
Africa.
In addition it provides
accounting services,
financial administration
and fraud control,
according to Cristian
Rodríguez, Western Union
Costa Rica
vice-president.
The company will be
looking for people with
experience in finance
and communications
technology, preferably
who are bilingual.
Rodríguez added that the
company is diverse and
will not close its doors
to any Costa Rican who
wants to work, citing
that doctors, lawyers,
engineers and other
professionals already
make up a part of their
work force.

began operations in
1998.
The company yesterday
unveiled its new offices
in Costa Rica, located
in the Forum 2 in Via
Lindora, Santa Ana.
