Venezuela Left for Solid Unity
Progressive Venezuelan parties of the Patriotic Alliance are strengthening strategic unity to foster the revolutionary process in Venezuela.

The groups have common goals that include winning the regional elections on November 23.

After criticism by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the revolutionary forces are trying to overcome differences and presenting unified candidatures to the mentioned elections.

"It is necessary to join all forces to achieve success nationwide, and not to make any concession to the rightwing," the president of the Venezuelan Popular Unity (UPV), Lina Ron, affirmed after a meeting with other party leaders.

UPV is affiliated to the Patriotic Alliance, along with the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the Communist Party, the PPT (Homeland for All Party), and the Electoral Movement of the People, among others.

For Chavez, progressive leaders were unable to achieve unity last century, causing division among the people.
