The President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez, can enjoy a growing popularity, up 7.5 points to 68.1 percent from when she came to the power on December 10, according to the results of a poll published Wednesday.

The Ricardo Rouvier survey highlighted that the dignitary's positive public image was established between January 18 and 27 by interviewing 1200 people.

The report recalled that a December 10 poll, the day of her swearing in, produced 60.6 percent popularity for which the increase was appreciable in nearly over a month and a half in power.

A geographic analysis of the results showed Cristina Fernandez with 60.3 percent of support in the capital at 67.7 percent while in the rest of the country it was at 69.9 percent.

Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli got 66.2 percent while the head of the government in the capital Mauricio Macri was third with 54.6, among the wide spectrum of political personalities.
