Emerson Begins Costa
Rican Operation And
Looking To Hire 200
Emerson Process
Management, worldwide
supplier of process
automation services and
technologies, began
operations in Costa Rica
yesterday and said it
will be looking to hire
some 200 electrical
engineers in the coming
five years.
Located n Barreal de
Heredia and currently
employing 26 people in
Costa Rica, Phil Hunt,
the director for Costa
Rican operations,
explained the company
chose Costa Rica for its
advantageous position in
relation to other
countries and the
availability of
qualified human
resources that is fluent
in English.
Costa Rican
vice-president, Laura
Chinchilla, said that
the government is
looking to invest more
in education to attract
more companies like
Emerson.
