New Hospitals to be
Built in Central Valley,
Osa
The Caja Costarricense
de Seguro Social (CCSS)
- Costa Rican Social
Security System - has
announced recently that
it seeks to expand its
health care facilities.
This includes a us$3.8
million allocation for a
new facility in
Alajuelita, south side
of San José, with a
population of 100,000,
slated for April.
Additionally there are
plans for a $9.7 million
hospital in Ojo de Agua
on the southern Pacific
coast, which is also
scheduled to be finished
in April.
And, in May, there is a
us$7 million Women's
Hospital to be built in
downtown San José.
