Miss Costa Rica Crowned
Twenty one year old
María Teresa Rodríguez
was crowned Miss Costa
Rica, who will represent
the country in the Miss
Universe pageant that
will take place later
this year in Vietnam.
Runners up to the
competition were Marilyn
Marín and Diana
McKenzie.
The 57th Miss Universe
beauty pageant, be held
at the Crown Convention
Center (Diamond Bay
Resort) in Nha Trang,
Vietnam on July 14.
Rodríguez, who comes
from La Guacíma,
Alajuela, and is a
studying advertising,
had been winning
contests since 2003 when
she won Miss Teen Costa
Rica and last year
crowned Miss Pacifico
Internacional in Mexico.
"I am in shock. I still
cannot believe it, I am
very happy, my dream
came true", were the
words of Rodríguez.
