Colombia to Extradite 4
Citizens to U.S. For
Trial
The Colombian government
will extradite four of
its citizens to stand
trial in the United
States on drugs
trafficking and other
charges, a government
statement said Tuesday.
The four suspects are
Ricardo Gonzalez
Durango, Cesar Julian
Parra Montoya, Jesus
Antonio Murillo Lenis
and David Palacios
Beltran, the statement
said.
Gonzalez and Julian will
be tried in New York,
Murrillo in the District
of Colombia, and
Palacios in Florida, it
said.
Colombia has extradited
over 650 people, most of
them to the United
States for drug
trafficking since
President Alvaro Uribe
took power in 2002.
