Medical Collaboration
Unites Central America
The protagonist role of
medical collaboration in
Latin America was
highlighted during the
annual meeting of health
ministers of Central
America and the
Dominican Republic.
The high-ranking
officials met in this
capital to check
regional plans of
prevention and control
of several recurring
diseases, such as
dengue.
The Salvadoran
president, Antonio Saca,
inaugurated the
ministerial meeting that
also counted on the
participation of
directors of social
security and those
responsible for drinking
water and clean up
operations in the member
countries.
Saca pointed out that
the health sector is a
bulwark for
integrationist actions
in the region that had
grown strongly during
the past two decades.
According to the
Salvadoran Head of
State, the quality of
health depends on the
capacity of persons to
learn, work and take
advantage of
