Tilarán Residents Upset Over Lack of Repairs of Giant Hole
The residents of Tilarán are pretty upset that the government has yet to repaid the gigantic hole that maintains several communities isolated.

Residents of the area have to make a long detour to get to La Fortuna and Arenal which is favourite destination for many tourists.

The only alternate route that can offer some relief for the time being is through Nuevo Arenal, north of Arenal and the Arenal Volcano, but this road is best travelled by SUV due to the road conditions left behind by the heavy rains of the past weeks.
