$250 Million Resort
Guacamaya Beach, in Sardinal, Guanacaste, will be home to us$250-million Guacamaya Development, which is to be home for a Ritz-Carlton 150-room hotel, 800 houses, and a 220-slip marina, among other facilities.

Located in a 900-hectare (some 2,200 acres) property, the development is owned by Plantacion Properties, a subsidiary of Christie’s Great Estates, the real estate branch of world-renowned art-auction firm Christie’s. According to project director Tina Carman, the resort will be in full operation by the year 2010.

Sardinal is located southeast of Playas del Coco and minutes from the Daniel Oduber International airport in Liberia with direct flights to the United States and Europe.
