Establish Diplomatic
Relations
Guatemala and the
Democratic People's
Republic of Korea (DPRK)
agreed to establish
diplomatic relations,
reports reaching here
quoted the Guatemalan
Foreign Ministry as
saying on Thursday.
The accord was signed on
Sept. 26 during the 62nd
session of the United
Nations General
Assembly, when
Guatemalan Foreign
Minister Gert Rosenthal
exchanged the diplomatic
documents with DPRK Vice
Foreign Minister Choe Su
Hon, according to the
information from
Guatemala City.
In recent years, the
DPRK has established
diplomatic relations
with many other Latin
American countries,
including Argentina,
Mexico, Belize, Brazil,
Nicaragua and Colombia.
