Nicaraguan Borge: No Campaign against ALBA
Nicaraguan ambassador to Peru Tomas Borge condemned the "satanic" campaign against the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, ALBA, defended by him due to its integrationist character.

In statements to Andina News Agency, Borge said ALBA respects sovereignty of each country, and described as ridiculous to think that it seeks having some interference in Peru, as private sectors believe.

He thought at same time that it would be beneficial for Peru to integrate to ALBA, even despite having signed a Free Trade Agreement with US.

Borge declared to be willing to expose at the Congress of Peru on ALBA and its benefits.

"It will be a pleasure for me to go to explain that ALBA more than a commercial treaty is a treaty that has to do with integration, culture, as Simon Bolivar dreamed ", he said.

Borge also pointed out that " ALBA houses" do not have any link with the integrationist organization, only composed of governments.

He also said those organizations are composed of citizens who wait for some aid from Venezuela, or sectors that identify with the processes in Cuba, Venezuela or Nicaragua, and express their solidarity with them.
