Canopy Tours Now In The Sabana
Park
Taking a canopy tour does not
mean a long ride to and from San
José, as the Grupo Montaña is
bringing the canopy has invested
more than us$20.000 dollars to
construct a canopy tour in the
Parque Metropolitano La Sabana.
The Sabana canopy tour begins
Wednesday and in June the
company expects to open another
canopy tour in the east end, in
the Parque del Este, in San
Ramón de Tres Rios.
Irene Antillón, director of
marketing for the company, said
that they have a five year
concession, withthe objective of
bringing this type of recreation
to the metropolitan area.
The cost of the tour is ¢3.600
for nationals and up to $25
dollars for tourists.
The project has the support of
the Municipalidad de San José
and the Instituto Costarricense
de Deporte y Recreación (Icoder),
and is being sponsored by the
Florida Bebidas and Riviana
Pozuelo. Florida Bebidas bottles
and distributes bottled water
and fruit juices, while Riviana
is a maker of cookies and other
baked goods.
