Bus Fares On the
Increase
Travelling by bus will
be more expensive on 52
routes around the
country, following an
approval of increases by
the Autoridad Reguladora
de Servicios Públicos (Aresep).
The regulating body
approved on average a 9%
increases that will from
¢20 to ¢110 colones to
bus fares..
The routes like San José
- Heredia and Alajuela -
Heredia, for example,
will see a ¢20 colones
increase, while the San
José - Naranjo route
will increase ¢50
colones and the Liberia
- Puntarenas route will
cost ¢110 colones more.
The approval has to
first be published in
the official government
daily, La Gaceta, which
is expected within five
working days, which is
expected on July 17th.
