Costa Rica Placed 43rd in List
of Best Places to Live
The magazine "International
Living" places Costa Rica in
43rd in list of places of
the best countries to live. The
list includes 191 countries
reviewed in 2006.
The magazine takes into account
things like the cost of living,
culture and entertainment,
economy, environment, freedom,
health, infrastructure, security
and climate.
In first place for the second
consecutive year was France.
Argentina is the only Latin
American country that placed in
the top 10.
Following France for top
countries are Australia,
Holland, New Zealand and the
United States.
In terms of Central American
countries, International Living
lists Panama in top spot, which
holds position 34 overall.
International living Afghanistan
as the worst nation to live in.
The magazine also lists Costa
Rica in the top 20 worst
countries in the world for
traffic accidents. Ahead of
Costa Rica are Malawi, Rwanda
and South Korea. Making the list
of bad drivers are Colombia,
Italy, Canada and Japan.
Now, if only International
Living would include a list for
the countries with the worst
roads and the most potholes,
because Costa Rica would surely
make it number one in that list.
