Nicaragua,
Venezuela sign 17 aid agreements
A raft of economic aid
agreements have been signed by
Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez
and his Nicaraguan counterpart
Danial Ortega in an attempt to
offset a proposed U.S. trade
deal.

Agreement

(Venezuela) and Rafael Correa
(Ecuador) signed nine documents
on Tuesday in the context of an
energy agreement to be boosted
by the Venezuelan Oil Company (PDVSA)
and Petroecuador.
Peru, Ecuador to extend border
plan for 10 more years
Peru and Ecuador will extend for
10 years the development plan
derived from a peace agreement
in 1998 that ended their border
disputes, Peruvian Foreign
Minister Jose Garcia Belaunde
said on Tuesday.
