Ambush Kills 5 Colombian Police
At least 5 Colombian police
members of the mobile squad died
while an explosive device
exploded in their way to the
airport called Hong Kong, in the
southern department of Putumayo.
The director of the Rural Police
and police officers Jesus
Antonio Gomez confirmed the
death of the agents and the
indefinite number of wounded
that are now facing problems of
ears and are under medical
observation.
The official claimed the
Colombia Revolutionary Armed
Forces (FARC) Front 48 the
responsibility for the attack.
Gomez said the explosive charge
was detonated against the police
official's vehicle and added
that after the event happened a
joint operation took place in
the area to investigate the
responsibility for the attack.
