Tico Wins Disney Marathon
Costa Rican Gabriela Trana won
the 14th Disney Marathon in
Orlando, Florida. It was the
first time that this athlete ran
the top race.
She was fourth 6.5
kilometers from the finish line,
but then accelerated and
completed the race in the first
one, followed by Christa Benton
from the United States and by
Brazilian Elizabete Cruz in the
third place. In the men’s
competition, Costa Rican Roy
Vargas displayed a good
performance, too.
He finished
third, preceded by Brazilian
Adriano Bastos and U.S. Matthew
Dobson.
