Chavez Lauds PSUV Role in Venezuela
Caracas -
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez affirmed
Sunday that the Bolivarian Revolution has
begun a real and true transformation of the
political culture of the country.
In his Sunday column "Las lineas de Chavez,"
Venezuelan leader assured that Venezuelan
PSUV (the United Socialist Party of
Venezuela) was created with the objective of
making this transformation real.
"We have learned through all the last ten
years that democracy, giving protagonist
roles to the people's power, was nothing but
that we dare to name since 2005 as
Socialism", Chavez expressed.
According to Chavez, the need to create a
politic organization that served as the
driving force of the peoples, as the new
social system the country was moving to,
became urgent after the big triumph on Dec.
3 2006.
"This is how PSUV was created, to strengthen
politic and ideologically speaking, the
project we have proposed ourselves (meaning
that the Party can by no means replace the
peoples in the construction of socialism,
Venezuelan leader stressed. |
