Cuba, Nicaragua Economists Ink Co-op
Agreement
Havana - The National Association of Cuban
Economists and Accountants (ANEC) and the
Central University of Nicaragua (UCN) signed
in Havana on Wednesday a framework agreement
of cooperation in economic sciences.
The document was inked by President of ANEC
Roberto Verrier and Vice-Rector of UCN
Francisco Lopez to promote scientific
exchange between the parties.
It also contributes to create an atmosphere
of discussion, training and critical
reflection about the importance of
development of economic sciences.
The text establishes a broad exchange of
information and joint preparation of
materials, research projects on issues of
common interest.
UCN committed to promote in Nicaragua the
international meeting of economists on
globalization and problems of development
held in Havana every year so as to bring a
larger delegation and also to promote this
kind of debates in Central America.
Verrier said ANEC has signed collaboration
agreements with other institutions,
including the Latin American, Caribbean
Economic System (SELA), the Latin American
Integration Association (ALADI) and
Colombian and Peruvian universities, among
others.
