Iron Maiden On Stage In Costa Rica Tonight

The British heavy metal band Iron Maiden is Costa Rica for a concert tonight at the Alejandro Morera Soto stadium in Alajuela.

Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band from Leyton, East London, England, formed in 1975. The band is led by founder, bassist and songwriter Steve Harris. Since forming in 1975 they have released fourteen studio albums, nine live albums, four EPs and eight compilations.

As one of the most commercially successful heavy metal bands of all time, Iron Maiden have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide, without significant mainstream or radio support.

The band arrived in Costa Rica on Monday on board their own private airplane, Ed Force One, and will be the second time performing in Costa Rica. Their first performance was in February 2008 at the Saprissa stadium.

Ed Force One is a wonderful customized Boeing 757 owned by and used to transport the band, 60 member crew and 12 tons of equipment as they tour the world. It’s named after Iron Maiden’s infamous mummy mascot “Eddie” and is piloted by Iron Maiden lead singer Bruce Dickinson.

According to organizers there are still some seats available for tonight's performance.
