Brazil Decries Anti Cuba Media Campaigns
Rio de Janeiro - The campaigns of mass media against Cuba,
qualified as media terrorism, were denounced by
panelists in the 4th State Convention of Rio of
Janeiro in Solidarity with Cuba.
Mauro Iasi, professor of the Federal University of
Rio of Janeiro considered the manipulation of the
informative monopolies impressive and assured that a
rule written in those media when referring to the
Caribbean island and its revolutionary process
already exists.
Iasi asserted that the monopoly hates Cuba for the
bad example it provides to poor nations, in the
sense of showing it is possible to reach a better,
more fair and equal society.
The university professor said that the island makes
reality thanks to the fact that it is a completely
original revolution in the construction of
socialism.
On the other hand, the president of the Union of
Journalists and Writers of Cuba (UPEC), Tubal Páez,
stated that no other country has ever endured so
much effort, especially in the last 50 years, to try
and make it's ideas hated, to demobilize it, provoke
it, weaken it and isolate it.
He mentioned that at the present time, 1,955 hours
for 31 frequencies in the bands of half, short wave
and FM, as well as for television are transmitted
from the United States every week.
The system, he added, includes two airplanes with
specialized equipment for television, the use of
satellites of DirecTV, Dish, Intelsat and Hispasat.
The president of UPEC thanked the friends of the
Cuban Revolution in Rio of Janeiro for the Vision
Now Operation that every day carries out work to
remove the cloudy veil of the waterfall of lies that
prevents a lot of people from seeing, in its true
shades, the reality of Cuba.
