Bolivia Model for Preservation

La Paz - On World Environment Day the government of Bolivia is putting forward its own development model to preserve their own natural resources.

Juan Pablo Ramos, Bolivian Environment Vice Minister, told the local state television that the new Political Constitution is including this strategy for the first time in the history of Bolivia.

He said these programs will benefit the local population without neglecting the rich biodiversity of Bolivia and will get away from formulas imposed by developed countries.

He highlighted the work of Bolivian President Evo Morales as the main fosterer of plans to take care of nature, and pointed out that the 9 Bolivian departments are also working on the topic. World Environment Day has been celebrated since 1972, every June 5th, with the objective to make people aware in favor of the environments preservation.
