Panama Government Transition

Panama -  The government transition process for the change of administration by president-elect Ricardo Martinelli in Panama, to take place on July 1st, is spreading to the provinces, with the appointment of the future governors.

The transition to an administration of is starting in the provinces of Colon, Panama, Cocle, Los Santos, Herrera, Veraguas, Bocas del Toro, Chiriqui and Darien.

Parallel to this, work is also moving forward in the ministries and autonomous institutions to guarantee the ground work is laid for the incoming administration.

The exchange between officials of the current administration and the future one is taking place in organizations such as the Traffic Authority and the National Migration Service.

Specific projects will be carried out starting July 1st and the transition is also extended to the National Assembly, where officials are getting ready to put in place the new Legislative.

Current Panamanian President Martin Torrijos will give his last report to the nation on June 30.
