Cuban Delegation Visits Nicaragua

Vice president Esteban Lazo is leading his
country''s delegation to Nicaraguan meetings
to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the
Sandinista Revolution, the media announced
on Sunday.
The group, composed of Cuban Communist Party
Central Committee and Foreign Ministry
officials will participate in the activities
organized in Managua for the occasion, said
an article published by the Juventud Rebelde
daily.
The Cuban delegation will exchange also with
Nicaraguan authorities and those from other
countries that are visiting Managua for the
celebrations.
On July 19, 1979, the Sandinista National
Liberation Front defeated Anastacio Somoza's
military regime (1967-1979), the last of
that family dynasty started by his
homonymous father in 1934. |
