Nicaragua Reports 348 Confirmed A/H1N1 Flu

Managua - Nicaragua has reported a total of
348 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu after the
detection of the first flu case on June 2,
the health authorities said on Friday.
According to the Health Ministry, only 32
flu patients are under medical treatment
while 316 others have recovered.
Among the confirmed cases, 54 percent were
male and 72 percent were under 20 years old,
the ministry said.
The capital of Managua continued to be the
most affected area with 78 percent of the
cases, while the remaining cases were in 13
provinces.
Nicaragua confirmed its first flu case in a
five-year-old girl on June 2.
