Spain Grants Aid to
Nicaragua
Managua - Spain will grant
Nicaragua 48 million dollars for the government of Managua to
implement social development projects, according to official
sources.
Spanish Ambassador to Nicaragua Antonio Perez Hernandez and
Sandinista Mayor Alexis Arguello announced the aid during a meeting
held on Monday.
According to Arguello, it is a commitment to poor people in La
Chureca garbage dump, who will benefit from a housing project and
the elimination of the crematorium.
In that regard, Elena Montovio, who is in charge of Spanish aid in
Nicaragua, noted that the Spanish government and people have made a
commitment to the Nicaraguan people. |
