Jenny and Chris Take Up Costa Rica Cycle Challenge
A Brother and sister team from Southend (England) are taking part in a gruelling 200km challenge to help raise money for disadvantaged young people.

In April Jenny Rutt, 25, and her brother Chris, 26, will be taking part in the Prince’s Trust Costa Rica challenge and are hoping to raise more than us$5.700 for the charity.

The challenge will see the pair travelling at altitudes of up to 2,500 metres, as they travel from the edge of the Pacific Ocean to the shores of the Caribbean.

They will be travelling 200 km in just seven days biking, rafting, and kayaking.

Miss Rutt, an insurance underwriter of Alexandra Road, Southend, said: “When we heard about the challenge we couldn’t say no because it is such a worthy cause.

“It will be tough going, but we will be ready for it.”

The duo were practicing their cycling skills by riding to Hadleigh Castle at the weekend. Jenny and Chris have already raised us$1.000, but still have a long way to go.

The Prince's Trust is a Youth charity needings to raise us41.4 million a week in order to help change young lives in the UK. It works with 14-30 year olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

Since 1976 The Prince of Wales’s charity has helped over half a million young people and continues to support 100 more every day.
