Presidents Hugo Chavez
(Venezuela) and Cristina
Fernandez (Argentina)
gave a boost to
bilateral links on
Thursday with the
signing of 21
cooperation agreements
in the energy,
technological and
industrial fields.
Agreements signed at
their presence in
Miraflores Palace
include a bi-national
cooperation fund for
industrial development
that might be
operational in April,
among others.
Chavez and Fernandez
announced that they will
meet every three months
to continue broadening
bilateral links, an
initiative already
implemented by Caracas
and Brasilia.
In a month we will have
the joint committee to
go beyond political
discourse to the
materialization of the
dream of unity to be
free, said Chavez after
describing the meeting
with his Argentine peer
as fruitful.
In Fernandez" opinion,
the 21 signed agreements
are the result of many
months of work.
This is a day when we
want to honor the memory
of our heroes Jose de
San Martin, Simon
Bolivar, Jose Marti,
Jose Gervasio Artigas
and Eloy Alfaro, she
concluded.
