Chavez: Latin America Is
in Revolution
BEIJING - Venezuelan
President Hugo Chavez
said Wednesday a
Revolution is underway
in Latin America, where
there is an increasing
number of China-friendly
countries.
The Venezuelan leader
made the statements when
meeting with the
president of the Chinese
Popular Assembly"s
Permanent Committee, Wu
Bangguo, his second host
in the first day of
activities as part of
his fifth China visit.
There is a revival of
popular forces, of
governments allied to
the construction of
Socialism or alternative
models to the
US-encouraged model,
Chavez stated.
As for examples, Chavez
mentioned the
governments of Bolivia,
Ecuador, Brazil,
Paraguay, and “of course
Cuba and Venezuela.”
They are all friends of
China, he stressed.
